The Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP) is a collaboration between the federal government and more than 1,100 participating libraries, including three Maryland law libraries. The FDLP provides the public with no-fee access to essential government information.
In May 2018, LLAM sent a letter in support of H.R. 5306, the FDLP Modernization Act of 2018 to the Honorable Steny Hoyer, Democratic Whip of the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Representative for Maryland’s 5th congressional district. The FDLP Modernization Act of 2018 proposes to modernize and streamline the FDLP to ensure the effective and long-term availability of no-fee access to government information.
