On a recent and sunny April morning, several industrious LLAM members helped Civic Works prepare garden and flower beds for the Real Food Farm.
Located in northeast Baltimore city, the innovative Civic Works Real Food Farm spans 8 acres and provides fresh produce for the local community. The farm aims to:
- Improve neighborhood access to healthy food,
- Protect the environment and improve the watershed,
- Develop Baltimore’s agriculture sector, and
- Provide hands-on education opportunities for Baltimore’s youth.
