Members of LLAM volunteered at the Maryland Food Bank this past Friday, March 11th sorting food in the Baltimore warehouse for distribution to food pantries, shelters, senior centers and schools across the state. Maryland is home to more than 750,000 people who do not have enough to eat, but with the help of volunteers Maryland Food Bank distributes more than 120,000 meals per day—nearly 44 million meals annually! While LLAM’s service project is over, you can always sign up to volunteer at the Food Bank by following the step-by-step instructions online or by calling the volunteer coordinator at the branch nearest you. To learn more, visit the Maryland Food Bank’s website.

LLAM also donated a portion of the silent auction proceeds from this year’s Holiday Party to the Maryland Food Bank.
