Position: Research Librarian (Domestic Social Policy)

Salary: $66,510 to $86,460 per year

The Congressional Research Service (CRS) seeks a Research Librarian for the Research & Library Services Section of the Domestic Social Policy Division. The section broadly supports the work of Congress in issue areas including health care, education, labor, immigration, housing, income security, veterans benefits, child welfare and nutrition assistance.

This Research Librarian position will provide research and library services to CRS policy analysts and congressional clients, focusing on the areas of domestic social policy generally and in particular issues related to health care policy, health care delivery, health care financing, public health and medicine.

Candidates with a Master of Library Science (MLS) or equivalent degree and background working in a library, information center, or research organization are encouraged to apply. Previous experience with public speaking in an instructional capacity is desired.

Position: Supervisory Librarian (Head of Technical Services)
Location: National Gallery of Art, Washington, DC
Salary: $94,796 to $123,234 per year

This position is located on the staff of the Deputy Director (DD), Library Technical Services Department (DLT). The incumbent is responsible for planning, developing, and administering the Library’s full range of technical services operations, which support the research needs of the National Gallery of Art and its Center for Advanced Studies of the Visual Arts, international art scholars, other museum professionals, educators, and the local art community. Departmental functions include processes for acquiring library collection materials by purchase, gift, and exchange; cataloging library materials for addition to the collections and to local and international databases, and labeling, preserving, and formatting library materials.
