The Pence Law Library at the American University Washington College of Law is the research home for a large and vibrant law school community. The Access Services Law Librarian manages all aspects of the Access Services Department, including circulation, course reserves, and interlibrary loan, and will supervise two full-time and up to thirty part-time employees. This is a tenure-track position reporting to the Associate Dean for Library and Information Resources.

Vendor Platform Specialist
Location: American Psychological Association, Washington DC
Salary: $50,000.00 – $55,000.00 (Yearly Salary)

The Vendor Platform Specialist catches and solves potential database issues before they impact the customer. The VPS works with three main vendors: EBSCO, ProQuest, and Ovid, to prepare for database reloads, large pdf correction sets, unusual deletions, and other data or procedural changes. The VPS inspects the weekly releases for APA’s six databases on four platforms to ensure all records are loaded and that they display correctly for our customers. When a customer does spot an error, or needs navigation guidance, the VPS works with APA’s customer relations team or with colleagues from the other platform providers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Reporting to the Senior Associate Director & Chief Biomedical Informationist, the Clinical Informationist & Data Management Librarian works with the Senior Clinical Informationist providing services to the faculty, clinicians, residents and staff of MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and in general to other departments, programs and / or schools in support of the research, education and patient care missions of DML and GUMC.
