Position: Library Services Specialist – Interlibrary Loan

The Albert S. Cook Library at Towson University is currently accepting applications for a Library Services Specialist to work in the Interlibrary Loan Department.
This department obtains materials not available from the University of Maryland and Affiliated Institution (USMAI) libraries for Towson University students, faculty, and staff, and lends materials from the Cook Library collection to non-USMAI libraries.

Description
Process all interlibrary loan requests following guidelines and standards established nationally for ILL; perform both borrowing and lending interlibrary loan duties in a quick, efficient and courteous manner, utilizing appropriate interlibrary loan software. Assist all users in requesting material through interlibrary loan in person, by phone or electronically. Read ILL E-mails daily, handling questions and problems immediately, and referring them to the AUL for Access & Outreach Services when appropriate.
Implement effective and efficient workflows and monitor daily progress of requests. In collaboration with the AUL for Access & Outreach Services, create or revise interlibrary loan policies and procedures. In collaboration with the AUL for Access & Outreach Services, review and update student assistant job descriptions.
Trains and leads student assistants, assigning daily duties, assists AUL for Access & Outreach Services in evaluating the performance of student assistants.

Prince George’s County Memorial Library System (PGCMLS)
Salary: $70 – $85k DOQ. Generous benefits package.

Salary: $59,451.00 – $99,018.00 (Yearly Salary)
