The Albert S. Cook Library at Towson University is seeking a Library Services Specialist to perform a variety of library functions related to the operations and
procedures of the Access Services and Outreach Department with special emphasis on print reserves, interlibrary requests and other general departmental duties.
The regular hours for this position are Tue-Thurs 10 am-6 pm and Fri-Sat 12-8 pm. Adjust work hours with changes in library hours.

Description
Process print reserve requests for faculty in an efficient, and courteous manner using an automated circulation system; process interlibrary loan requests; retrieve
faculty reserve items for users and file returned material; provide support for technology/printing related issues; provide assistance in locating library materials using
the catalog and other library resources; answer questions regarding library circulation policies, library borrowing privileges, and the status of patron records; oversee
student library employees; shelve library materials; monitor organization and condition of assigned stack area; participate in and contribute cooperatively to outreach,
marketing, assessment, diversity, curricular, and other library and university initiatives as appropriate; and provide other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and one year of Library or related clerical or public service experience. The selected candidate must have excellent interpersonal, communication,
and customer service skills. Skill in using Microsoft applications, e-mail, and internet navigation. Ability to learn and effectively use technology required for the work of
the position. Library experience preferred. Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the
knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year
basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.
