The IP Research Librarian is primarily responsible for providing professional research services, specifically regarding Intellectual Property online research needs of the legal staff to support all practice groups by execution of comprehensive database searchers, expanding knowledge of IP and legal database resources, and utilizing emerging tools and technologies. This person will collaborate with team members to monitor Research & Information Services (RIS) requests and communicate with staff in order to help manage departmental workflow across the firm. Through professional development and current research they will continue to gain knowledge of current online resources.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of work experience in a Library or Legal setting which includes experience working with Intellectual Property
Knowledgeable of science and/or technology research concepts and resources
Experience with complex online research and general databases
Proficiency with MS Office
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
Master’s degree in Library Information Services (MSLIS) is a plus
