The University of Baltimore’s Langsdale Library is seeking a knowledgeable and team-oriented individual to serve as an Electronic Resources Librarian. Responsibilities include managing, implementation, access, evaluation and renewal of licensed e-resources, including subscription databases, e-journals, and e-books. The successful candidate will serve as contact for content providers, the USMAI library consortium’s CLAS team, and librarian faculty and staff. In addition, the Electronic Resources Librarian monitors usage statistics, analyzes usage and content to inform collection decisions, arranges trials for potential e-resources, and participates in collection development budget planning process. Other duties include providing troubleshooting support in conjunction with other departmental staff and serving as UB representative to USMAI advisory groups related to the licensing and acquisition of electronic resources. This full-time faculty appointment reports to the Head of Technical Services & Content Management.

Required: MLS from an ALA-accredited library school or equivalent degree and at least one year of library experience with demonstrated knowledge of and experience with the collection and analysis of usage data and content and assessment and evaluation of resources. Demonstrated experience in negotiating and licensing e-content and effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred: Two – three years of experience in academic library focused on electronic resources licensing, management and evaluation.
