As a Data Analytics Librarian, the incumbent will conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis studies of NIST research data and publications to assess research impact and support decision-making. Analysis studies may include examining data citing patterns to gain insights about papers citing data, evaluating metadata in laboratory data management plan tools to inform the creation and use of controlled vocabularies and taxonomies, and investigating data management and publishing practices to help identify needs. In collaboration with the ISO Program Analyst, the incumbent will create data visualizations, consult on data analysis and visualization techniques, and train staff on data visualization strategies and tools. The incumbent will assist other ISO librarians by extracting, transforming, and organizing data for analysis and presentation. The incumbent will monitor, investigate, and report on best practices and technologies in scholarly publishing, data analytics, data visualization, and impact assessment.
