This position is assigned to the Architect of the Capitol, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Administrative Officer, Curator Division, Records Management and Archives Branch. As Chief of the Records Management and Archives Branch, the incumbent is responsible for leading, planning, implementing, and managing the Architect of the Capitol (AOC) records management and archives program. Plans and implements the AOC-wide systems for managing and archiving electronic as well as paper records. Manages the AOC Archives, and other records storage areas and ensures preservation of permanently valuable historic records that by law are not sent to the National Archives of Records Administration (NARA). Develops and implements AOC-wide policies, procedures, and guidance for managing and preserving agency records. Coordinates and promotes the records management and archives program.
