U.S. News & World Report Information Services is seeking an entry-level content services specialist who is comfortable with web technologies and constantly shifting job responsibilities, including, but not limited to: quality checking and delivering content to partners, managing editorial contracts, database management, and occasional research assistance. The ideal candidate is a resourceful, organized self-starter who copes well with deadlines, has a good eye for detail, is comfortable setting priorities and solving problems, and is able to communicate effectively to different stakeholder groups. The position is located at our office in Georgetown.
Minimum requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree (Masters degree in library science from an ALA-accredited program preferred)
- Familiarity with HTML and XML, including the use of Dreamweaver; knowledge of NewsML or PRISM standard preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel); familiarity with Adobe Acrobat
- Research experience, both online and with subscription services such as LexisNexis
