Vacancy #14-06, Manager II – Virtual Services

Oversees, manages and designs the Library’s total Web environment, including the library’s public web presence & the staff intranet services; responsible for the overall web architecture, hardware, software, design and standards; communicates regularly with web content providers; and  assists with the purchase of web-based subscription services and databases. Integrates 3rd party web-based products with the HCPL website and integrated library system (ILS). Works with vendor bids and proposals; selects sources or makes recommendations for sources to Administration based on analysis of information; Arranges vendor contracts, negotiates for best costs, and observes quality of purchased materials. Oversees day-to-day operations, activities and staff associated with managing the library’s integrated library system.  Oversees the Computer Services Center (CSC) in the absence of the Technology Administrator. Meets minimum public service hours as defined by Library Administration

 

 

 

Vacancy #14-16, Senior Administrator – Public Services

Manages and oversees all library public service operations. Directly supervises the branch managers, the Community Outreach Specialist and the Youth Services

Coordinator. The Senior Administrator develops, plans and executes library objectives and translates into programs and activities that support public service

goals; acts as liaison between branch staff, department staff and Senior Administration; performs other duties as assigned. Meets minimum public service hours

as defined by Library Administration.

 

 

 

Vacancy #14-18, Coordinator – Youth Services

Coordinates and oversees children’s and youth services (Birth – 18 years-old) on a system wide scale, develops, oversees, plans and implements children’s and

teen programs; acts as liaison between outside groups and youth related public services areas children’s and teen services staff and Senior Administration. Is

the statewide representative on youth related boards and organizations. Works with vendor bids and proposals for system wide children’s and youth

programming. Arranges vendor contracts, negotiates for best costs and observes quality of purchased services. Prepares reports and required documents.

Reports to the Senior Administrator – Public Services. Performs other duties as assigned. Meets minimum public service hours as defined by Library

Administration.
